PROCIRO was founded by Sergej Losing, a German software engineer who has been writing code since the 1990s — back when going online meant a dial-up modem and building for the web meant building almost everything yourself. That era taught a habit that never left: when something is tedious, automate it; when something matters, secure it.

Two threads have run through his work ever since — automation and cryptography. One is about removing friction: getting machines to do the repetitive work people were never meant to do by hand.
